Domain Manager

Set up a Domain for a client.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Go to Advantage Tools > Domain Manager
  2. Click to Edit 'website' (this is you initial setup)



  3. The Name is what you would like to call this domain

  4. Folder Name corresponds with the Domain name folder that is setup in your Visual Studio Solution. This will be the client project. 

    1. When you save a new name, the folders will be created in your Solution. Go to solution and refresh to get some basic files.


  5. Add Custom Properties if you want each page to show some settings

  6. Select Site Settings if you want include settings for your site

  7. Click to add a Domain Path. Enter your domain eg: demo.advantagecsp.om
    1. Click to make it Active
    2. Click to make it Primary.

    3. Click Insert button

  8. Click to Add or Edit Template Paths. This is the location setup in your Visual Studio Solution, and should match the Folder Name chosen above.

    1. Add or Update the URL path

    2. Click to make it Active

    3. Click The Insert or Update button

  9. Click to Add or Edit Layout Paths. This is the location setup in your Visual Studio Solution, and should match the Folder Name chosen above.

    1. Add or Update the URL path

    2. Click to make it Active

    3. Click The Insert or Update button

  10. User Guides will add to the User Guide Menu on the top right of you CMS ([User Name] > User Guide)

    1. Click to Edit or Add

    2. Give the menu item a name

    3. Choose a Type. Url is a url and Javascript can be a chunk of code.

    4. Action field, please enter the url, or javscript. (Please see example of zendesk, which comes out-of-box)

  11. Click Save at the top of the page to save your settings.
